The Project
Comprehensive geothermal scientific exploration field work including geological, geochemical and geophysical surveys had been undertaken on each of the 5 prospect areas in Sumatra and East Java.
Our Role
Thorndon Cook’s role was to:
- Review and comment on the scientific exploration surveys conducted, their suitability, and equipment used
- Review and comment on the data collected from the field work
- Review and comment on the interpretation of the scientific data collected
- Comment on the results and conclusions of the work
- Comment on the likelihood and size of geothermal resources in the 5 areas based upon the data collected, and using stored heat assessment.
Results
The work by Thorndon Cook provided the client with an independent third party assessment of the likelihood and size of geothermal resources to be found in the 5 prospect areas.
